Healthy spinach turkey wrap made with sliced deli turkey, spinach, and sliced red bell peppers. A wonderful meal that can be ready in just 5 minutes!
My husband’s sister visited us recently to help us unpack in our new home in North Carolina and for lunch one day, she made these delicious spinach turkey wraps for us. They’ve since become one of our go-to lunches because they’re easy to make and we love the way they taste.
Why This Recipe Works
- First of all, turkey wraps come together so quickly.
- They’re easily customizable. Consider this recipe to be more of an idea, take it and make it your own. Consider using a different meat like ham or roast beef. If you want to make a vegetarian version, leave off the meat and add more vegetables.
- A turkey wrap makes a great lunch to take to work or school.
- It makes a great make-ahead meal. Make a few and wrap them in plastic wrap or store them in a container to enjoy throughout the week.
Ingredients
Ingredient Notes
See recipe box below for ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions.
- Tortilla: Although you can use an 8-inch flour tortilla, I think a 10-inch tortilla works best. The larger size provides more room for the ingredients. You can even use homemade, whole wheat, or gluten free tortillas.
- Cream cheese: Use regular cream cheese or the lower fat version, Neufchâtel cheese. Both can be found right next to each other in most grocery stores.
- Turkey: I use 2-3 slices of deli turkey in my wraps. You can even use leftover roasted turkey.
- Vegetables: Use 1/3 cup of loosely packed fresh spinach and 5-6 slices of red bell peppers. See below for ways to use up any leftover ingredients you might have.
How To Make This Recipe
- Place the tortilla on a plate and warm slightly in the microwave, about 15 seconds. Spread a heaping tablespoon of cream cheese onto the tortilla.
- Layer with turkey, spinach, and sliced red bell peppers.
- Roll tightly and slice in half.
Expert Tips and Recipe Notes
- Warming the tortilla slightly will help keep it from cracking as it is rolled.
- To change the flavor, spread a little bit of cranberry jam on top of the cream cheese, swap out the cream cheese for hummus, or try it with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
- Consider adding in a slice or two of cooked bacon.
- Use any meat you love. Try salami, roast beef, or ham instead of turkey.

I used a low carb spinach wrap and added avocado slices. I also had carrots and ranch. It’s delicious!
