An apple crisp is one of my favorite desserts, especially in the fall! It reminds me of an apple pie in a bowl with no crust to mess with.

This single serving apple crisp recipe is made without oats and has a buttery, sweet topping that tastes incredible.

This apple crisp recipe couldn’t be easier to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple 
  • sugar
  • cinnamon

Just slice one apple and put the pieces into a small oven safe baking dish. Mix in a little sugar and cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • brown sugar
  • all-purpose flour
  • cinnamon
  • butter

Pro Tip: If you would like to make an gluten free apple crisp, use gluten free flour or almond flour instead.

The buttery topping sinks into the apples as the apple crisp bakes and delivers a lovely cinnamon spiced sweetness with every bite.

The apple crisp bakes in the oven for 25 minutes. This simple treat is perfect for dessert, a midnight snack or even breakfast.

Apple Crisp For One

Ingredients

  • 1 apple , peeled, cored and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

FOR THE TOPPING

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C).
  • Place the diced apples in a small ramekin or other oven-safe dish. Stir in the sugar and the cinnamon.

FOR THE TOPPING

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter. Cut the butter into a few pieces and toss them into the dry ingredients. Using your fingers or a fork, work the butter into the dry ingredients until heavy crumbs are formed.
  • Spoon the crumb mixture over the apples.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until apples are soft.

Notes

You could substitute pears in the recipe for a lovely pear crisp.
