Easy Guacamole | Small Batch
This is truly the best Guacamole recipe! Made with one avocado combined with a touch of lime juice, chopped red onions, garlic, a pinch of salt, and as much or as little chopped jalapenos as you like. This small batch of guacamole is filled with flavor and ready in minutes!
Servings: 2 people
- 1 medium avocado
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (may use lemon juice instead)
- 1 tablespoon chopped red onions
- 1 garlic clove , finely minced
- 1/8 teaspoon chopped jalapeños
Cut the avocado in half. Remove seed and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Place in a bowl.
Mash the avocado with a fork but be sure to leave a few avocado chunks.
Add the salt, lime juice, onions, garlic, and jalapeños.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator until ready to use or eat right away.
If you are not going to eat the guacamole right away, to help keep it from turning brown before you eat it, try this method:
Transfer the guacamole to a container or dish, smooth the guacamole with a spoon, and pour a teaspoon or so of water over the top to cover the entire surface of the guac. Then, press with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator.
