cream cheese
capers
chopped tomatoes
sliced cucumbers
sliced radishes
sliced red onions
dill sprigs
lemon slices
Instructions
Use as much or as little of each ingredient as you like, depending on how many people you’re serving
Place a small bowl of cream cheese on one side of the platter.
Set a bowl of capers on the opposite side to create balance.
Arrange the smoked salmon, toasted bread, cucumbers, red onions, radishes, and remaining ingredients around the platter.
Serve by spreading cream cheese on bread, topping with smoked salmon, and finishing with capers, or let guests build their own bites.
Notes
Balance the Flavors:
Aim for a mix of salty, creamy, and fresh elements so each bite tastes well rounded.
Serve Salmon Cold:
Keep smoked salmon chilled until serving to preserve its texture and fresh flavor.
Slice Onions Very Thin:
Thinly sliced red onions are milder and won’t overpower the salmon.
Don’t Overfill the Platter:
Leaving space between ingredients makes the platter easier to serve and more visually appealing.
Scale for Entertaining:
This platter is easy to expand. Add more salmon and bread while keeping the same ingredient mix for larger groups.
