Instructions
Whisk all of the spices together in a small bowl until well combined, making sure to break up any clumps of ground ginger.
Transfer the pumpkin pie spice blend to an airtight jar or container and store it in a cool, dry place such as a pantry or cupboard.
Yields ¼ cup.
The mix will stay fresh until the individual spices expire, which is usually 1–2 years.
Notes
Whisk Well:
Ground ginger tends to clump, so whisk until everything is smooth.
Fresh Spices:
Buy all the spices around the same time so the blend stays fresh longer.
Storage:
Keep in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place for up to 1–2 years.
Adjust to Taste:
Add more cinnamon for sweetness or more cloves for a stronger spice flavor.
Labeling:
Mark the jar with the date you made it so you know when to refresh the mix.
