Baked Brown Rice

- ⅓ cup medium-grain or long-grain brown rice
- ⅔ cup water
- ½ tablespoon butter
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the rice in a small 5-inch baking dish or dish of similar size.
Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan or tea kettle.
Pour boiling water over the rice and add the butter and salt.
Gently stir to combine and cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes, remove the cover and fluff the rice with a fork.
