Ginger Turmeric Cinnamon Tea

Beneficial Turmeric Tea is filled with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, lemon, immune boosting spices, and sweetened with a touch of honey. Spicy, sweet and comforting.

Equipment

  • 1-quart saucepan

Ingredients

  • 1 1-inch ginger root , peeled, rough chopped
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional) , to taste

Instructions

  • Place the ginger in a pot and fill with the water. Bring to a boil, then add the cinnamon stick and stir in the turmeric and cayenne pepper. 
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. 
  • Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
  • Pour the tea through a strainer into a mug.
  • Sweeten to taste with honey (optional).
