This is an easy cheese dip my family absolutely loves. I make it all the time and leave it on my kitchen counter and in minutes, it’s gone.
Do you ever feel like I do when someone shows up unexpectedly at your door and you don’t have anything to serve them? I always feel so terrible when this happens. I think it’s my southern upbringing. My mother told me to never visit a friend empty handed and always ALWAYS have something to serve your guests.

Italian Cream Cheese Dip Recipe
This flavorful Italian Cream Cheese Dip begins with cream cheese.
Bring the cream cheese up to room temperature. This can be accomplished by leaving the block of cream cheese on the kitchen counter for about 15 minutes or so. Bringing the cream cheese to room temperature makes the cream cheese easier to stir.
To the cream cheese add about a tablespoon of packaged italian salad dressing mix and stir it together. Add a little more of the mix if you want to make the Italian flavor stronger, for me about a tablespoon does the job.
Spread the seasoned cream cheese on a plate and the begin to build the layers. Start with basil pesto, and continue with marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and cubes of mozzarella cheese.
What To Use For Dipping
Use either sturdy tortilla chips to scoop up the dip, large breadsticks or pieces of crusty French bread.
If you want to serve carrot sticks or other sliced vegetables, shred the mozzarella instead of cutting it into cubes. It’ll be easier to scoop up with the vegetables.

- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese , room temperature
- 1 tablespoon Italian dressing mix
- 1/4 cup prepared pesto sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped artichoke hearts
- 1/2 cup roasted red peppers
- 1/2 cup cubed mozzarella cheese
- tortilla chips or french bread for serving.
- Mix cream cheese with the Italian dressing mix until well blended.
- Spread on a large plate or serving platter.
- Layer the toppings over the cream cheese.
- Serve with sturdy tortilla chips or french bread.
