Cooking For One Holiday Gift Guide
Toaster Oven – This is the toaster oven I own and the one I have purchased for my kids who are living on their own. I’ve used it for years and it’s wonderful. This toaster oven is big enough to cook a 6-pound turkey or a 9-inch pizza. It bakes, broils, and toasts.
Digital Kitchen Scale – I use this kitchen scale all the time in my kitchen. It’s easy to use and displays ounces, lbs, grams, kgs. I love that it has a 3-minute automatic shutoff which lets you prepare ingredients while maintaining battery life.
5-inch Square Baking Dish – This baking dish is the perfect size for anyone cooking for one. In fact, many of the recipes featured here on One Dish Kitchen, including Zucchini Lasagna For One are made in this dish.
Compact Air Fryer – This mini Air Fryer is perfect for a small family of one or two people. Features include an automatic shut-off feature when cooking is completed. The closed cooking system ensures splatter-free cooking. Enjoy your favorite fried foods with less calories.
1.5 Qt. Capacity Electric Slow Cooker – You’ll notice that many of our slow cooker single serving recipes are made with this particular slow cooker. It’s the perfect size for single serving meals. The stoneware pot is removable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
3-Quart Instant Pot – This small Instant Pot features fully automatic pressure cook programs, 3 slow cook heat settings, a sauté feature, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, a delay start and auto keep warm.
10-inch Skillet – This skillet is a wonderful size for cooking smaller amounts.
6-Cup Muffin Pan – This muffin pan is great for making small batches of muffins.
Silpat Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat – This Silpat mat fits a quarter sized baking sheet. Perfect for keeping foods from sticking to the baking sheet.
Knife Set – Good knives are a “must have” in every kitchen. This is an affordable stainless steel set with a knife block.
Food Storage Containers With Lids – I use these all the time. They’re the perfect size for storing leftovers. The lids snap together and can fit multiple bases.
4-Cup Coffee Maker – This one has a 30-minute automatic shut-off and a brew pause feature which allows you enjoy a cup of coffee before the brewing has finished.
Electric Kettle – So useful for quickly boiling water for instant coffee or tea.
Spiralizer – A wonderful kitchen tool used for making “noodles” out of vegetables. This spiralizer comes with four noodle shapes attachments.
A Quality Cutting Board – This particular cutting board has a corner spout which guides food into pots and pans. It’s non-slip edges keep the board from slipping and it’s dishwasher safe. If you love wood cutting boards, I would recommend a Boos Block. These butcher-style blocks are made from sturdy thick wood and if taken care of will a last very long time.
A Set of Measuring Cups and Spoons – Stainless steel measuring cups and spoons together in one economical package.
Cotton Dish Cloths – These towels are durable, absorbent, and large.
Hand Mixer – I love this particular hand mixer. It comes with a snap on storage case and 6 attachments.

Ways To Save Money
Many of the items listed in our Cooking For One Holiday Gift Guide can be found on Amazon. However, you may be able to find items for less money locally.
- I would not recommend buying used slow cookers or other appliances but definitely look at thrift stores and discount chains such as, T.J. Maxx and Homegoods for gently used baking dishes.
- Garage sales
- Church rummage sales
